Jean-Christophe Kerdelhué, CEO, Founder of NW

The French entrepreneur Jean-Christophe Kerdelhué has over 35 years of professional experience in the energy sector.

After starting his career with Compagnie Générale des Eaux (Veolia), Jean-Christophe joined Société SIIF (hydropower production), where he spent around ten years as a project leader and advisor to the Chairman.

In 2000, he joined EDF Energies Nouvelles as Managing Director for the French overseas territories. This position enabled him to specialize in electricity production from renewable energies (hydropower, solar thermal and wind power), while also getting to grips with the specific territorial characteristics of the French West Indies (Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, Martinique), French Guiana and Reunion Island. It was also an opportunity to discover the passion that he still has today: making the energy transition accessible to all.

The most important motive for work… is pleasure in work, pleasure in its results, and the knowledge of the value of the result to the community”

Albert Einstein

Jean-Christophe founded his own company, NW, in 2007. It initially focused on the operation and development of new power production sites. The company then diversified, particularly into the highly strategic field of electricity storage, in which NW is a pioneer. Coupled with a high-power electric vehicle charging solution (IECharge®), this distributed storage solution (JBox®) enabled its NW Storm subsidiary to become the first unicorn of the energy transition. NW is now a member of the French Tech Next40, and is developing its solutions all over the world, still under the impetus of Jean-Christophe, who remains its CEO and controlling shareholder.
